Sarah Kay Arts

Sarah Kay is a Shetland-born artist and maker based in Scalloway, creating distinctive resin artwork inspired by the islands, coastline and sea.

Working from her hillside studio overlooking Scalloway, Sarah creates original resin seascapes, mixed-media artwork, sea glass jewellery and unique pieces incorporating locally collected beach finds. A lifelong collector of Shetland sea glass, her work is rooted in a genuine connection with the islands and the sea, with many pieces inspired by places she has known since childhood.

Visitors are welcome to browse the studio and discover artwork handmade in Shetland, from small, affordable keepsakes to larger statement pieces. Sarah’s surrounding hillside garden is also open to visitors during the summer season, with beautiful views across Scalloway and the surrounding coastline.
